Pretty satisfied
Seeing this 27” Penny Board in person changes everything—it has a quality feel that's hard to capture in photos. I picked it up as a travel-friendly alternative to my longboard, especially for rougher weather days. Initially, I thought it might feel a bit like a toy, but I was way off. The build quality is impressive, with each component solidly finished, and it feels premium right from the first touch.
It was a little wobbly at first, but after tightening up the kingpins, I got the stability dialed in. It’s not as rock-solid as my longboard, but the softer wheels actually give it a similar, almost smoother ride. My longboard has bigger, harder wheels, and I’ve found that the Penny board glides over some surfaces even better—unexpected but appreciated.
Speed-wise, I’m able to cruise at nearly the same pace as on my longboard (still learning here), but balancing on this compact board has been an adjustment. The deck's slightly convex shape is unique, especially if you’re used to a concave deck where your feet naturally settle in. Here, I initially felt like I was about to slip, and there’s a tendency to flex your soles that can feel a bit awkward. Relaxing my stance made a big difference for a smoother ride.
Overall, it’s a solid board, perfect for anyone looking for something compact and easy to carry around. I’d definitely recommend it for casual cruising or travel."
